I had the incredible pleasure of spending 45-minutes talking with author and speaker Simon Sinek this morning and he was gracious enough to allow me to co-opt a few of those minutes to ask a question and share his response with you.
Simon is the brilliant mind behind the books Start With Why and Leaders Eat Last which, in concert with his incredible talks of the same names, have inspired millions. I was introduced to his work by my friend John Denny and my own work was forever made better by colliding with Simon’s ideas.
During the course of our conversation about public speaking, leadership…and the trappings of both…Simon revealed himself to be a refreshingly down-to-earth and relatable man who truly believes in the ideas he shares.
Our goal as leaders is to take care of the people around us and yet we are imperfect human people who will make mistakes. So how do we recover when we let down the people we lead?
Simon generously afforded me the chance to share his response to my question about the inevitable mistakes that leaders make in this 3-minute clip..
