Who is in charge of you?

In the span of about 28 hours between Friday evening and Saturday evening, my beloved Yankees lost 3 baseball games to the first place Toronto Blue Jays.

Barf.

A few years ago I would have been devastated, but now I can simply say, “that’s lame,” and move on with my day.

At some point I realized that allowing my emotional state to be dictated by a game which is completely out of my control isn’t a great way to run my life.

Maybe you can relate. Don’t let a game, or a rude comment, or a bad hair day, or a flat tire prevent you from choosing to do your very best work.

There are a million things you can’t control. The way you choose to react is not one of them.
